I make my living designing and installing micropile foundations and other specialty geotechnical products. For the last twenty years, I have been immersed specifically in the design and construction of ground anchors and anchored structures including tieback walls, soil nailing, micropiles, foundation underpinning and structure tiedowns in addition to specialized grouting and ground modification techniques. I am very interested in helping people to solve real world problems using those products and technologies, thus the launch of the Micropile Design and Construction blog. It is my hope that this site will be useful in getting the word out and helping people to properly utilize many of the specialty geotechnical products and services that are out there, especially micropiles. Please visit often as the content will be a constant work in progress to keep up with industry developments and let me know what you think of the site.
